The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy) is committed to the safety of all attendees at the 2022 Oncology Nutrition Symposium. The Academy will be following the latest developments in COVID-19 safety protocols and legal requirements for the Symposium. The Academy requires that all registrants, exhibitors, and poster presenters be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their attendance.
The Academy has adopted the following meeting entry requirements and onsite safety and health protocols for the 2022 Symposium. The Academy may alter these requirements and protocols as public health guidance evolves.
Watch this space for additional details as we get closer to the Symposium.
Meeting Entry Requirement
To receive your Symposium badge, all in-person attendees, exhibitors, and poster presenters must have uploaded proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (vaccination card) in advance of arriving on site. (see definition of "fully vaccinated" here)
The Academy will email all attendees with information about how to upload proof of full vaccination conveniently and securely inadvace of the event. All attendees are required to use this upload system for verification.
If an attendee, exhibitor, or guest does not complete the verification process prior to the event, they will not be permitted to enter the Symposium nor any related programs and events.
In alignment with CDC guidance, masks will be required inside the Symposium Meeting Room and Exhibit Areas. Exceptions will be made when presenting during an educational session. We ask that you minimize the time your mask is down when eating or drinking. In areas with substantial and high COVID-19 transmission, the CDC recommends that everyone—even fully vaccinated people—wear masks in public and indoor settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Please note that the Academy may revise this requirement if local conditions and public health recommendations change. Attendees and exhibitors are responsible for bringing their own masks to the Symposium.
Waiver & Assumption of Risk & Release
Attendees must also agree to the waiver and assumption of risk & release as part of the registration process.
