Katie is a registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience working with patients who have cancer and specializing in blood cancer over the past 10 years. She received a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences at Washington State University, obtained a Master’s of Science (MS) in Nutrition and internship through Colorado State University.
Katie assists in the management of gastrointestinal Graft vs Host Disease (GVHD) by creating individualized nutrition plans to minimize symptoms and promote healing of the gastrointestinal tract. Katie is currently working on a project to increase the use of prophylactic feeding tubes while patients are undergoing HSCT.
